St. Petersburg and Moscow in the middle of Winter

This past January I was able to finally venture out of Krasnodar and into two of Russia’s most well-known cities: St. Petersburg and Moscow.  An opportunity to travel within Russia should never be forgone… ESPECIALLY when you already live there and have a multi-entry 3-year visa.  My family was able to visit for 9 days, and we definitely took advantage…enjoying sufficient time in each.

The Hermitage Museum, Winter Palace, Peterhof Palace, and the Church of the Savior on Blood were the main sites we spent time exploring…

The Russian Vodka Museum (photos below) was actually informative and super fun!

In Moscow we spent all of our time in and around Red Square.  Red Square must be seen both in the day as well as at night.  The Christmas market was still up as well as all of the lights they put up for the Holiday season!
